To all those looking for some sunshine guarantee with a trip to the Mediterranean, the Foreign Office has plenty of advice so your holiday does not end up in tears.

Greece, Spain, Turkey and the Canary Islands are among the top favourite holiday destinations for many Brits. But as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is also quick to point out, all these countries have their problems of their own, so it is best to be aware of them before you decide to grab your passport and go.




Whether it is climate extremes, potential natural disasters, social unrest or sharing a border with a war zone, all of these countries may not be as paradisiac as we’d like them to be while on our holidays. As reported by Walesonline, the FCO advises UK citizens on travel to all countries and has plenty of important information to people travelling to Greece, Spain and Turkey to help them keep themselves and their families safe.
